Office Ergonomics Workforce Training


This interactive 2 hour office ergonomics training session is designed to train workers on how they can improve the comfort and efficiency of the office environment while minimizing the risk for musculoskeletal disorders. Emphasis is on optimizing their current equipment and furnishings.

Course Objectives

  • To provide strategies to reduce physical discomfort, personal injuries, and pain and suffering associated with musculoskeletal disorders
  • To identify individual postural and muscular imbalances and risk factors for injury
  • To educate workers on the benefits of microbreaks, proper posture and risk control techniques
  • To encourage employees to take personal responsibility for their own health

Course Content

Participants will learn how to:

  • Correctly set up their own workstation based on their personal factors.
  • Troubleshoot common aches and pains associated with office work.
  • Identify their own postural and muscular imbalances and risk for injury.
  • Incorporate microbreaks, proper posture and risk control techniques.
  • Recognize the three stages of injury development.
